September in Reception R3

September 30, 2023

We have all gotten off to a great start here in Reception, Room 3! The boys and girls love their new classroom and all the resources they have to play with. All the boys and girls have a special spot on our big colourful mat, where we practice our nursery rhymes, share news, listen to stories and lots more! Reception are also enjoying learning Gaeilge and love our new ‘Rolly Polly’ song. We have been doing fun maths activities such as sorting objects by colour and looking for shapes in our classroom. We have recently started Aistear too, which all the boys and girls are very excited about! Our current theme is the cafe, so everyone is getting a chance to take on the roles of customer,  waitress and chef. Other Aistear activities include working with playdough, designing menus and constructing cafes from bricks. We can’t wait to find out what the next theme will be!!

Ms. Mc Manus and all the children from Reception R3 🙂
