Football Tournament

October 18, 2022

By Will

Over three weeks the boys and girls from 2nd class – 6th class competed in a football tournament run by Mr Keogh. The boys were all mixed up and all put on different teams with countries as their names as were the girls. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm – 2pm all participating children would play in matches against each other. The top two teams from each group went through to the semi-finals and then the top two teams went to the final. Believe it or not Ireland for the boys and the girls went through to the finals and both teams won! Mr Keogh says it wasn’t rigged but pure coincidence. The boys and girls all had such fun competing and watching.

Thank you to Mr Keogh for organizing the competition and to Ms Ferguson and Ms Shine for helping with the running of each game.
