Welcome to St. Joseph’s Co-Ed. Primary School, East Wall.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our school website, where we hope to give you a window into the vibrant life of our school community. At St. Joseph’s, we are proud to be at the heart of East Wall, a community rich in spirit, resilience, and tradition.

This year, we say goodbye to Mr. Heneghan. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Heneghan for his dedicated leadership and the lasting impact he’s made on our school community. Although he will be missed, we wish him every success in his new school. My name is Iseult Glackin, and I’m honoured to step into the role of principal, excited to build on this strong foundation and continue supporting our students, staff, and families.

Our school is more than just a place of learning, it is a place where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We are committed to the holistic development of each child, nurturing their unique gifts and helping them to become confident, caring, and capable young people.

Guided by our Catholic ethos and core values of respect, kindness, inclusion, and integrity, we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where all children feel a true sense of belonging. Our dedicated staff work in close partnership with families and the wider community to ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive. Along with our school motto “Ní neart go cur le chéile”, we promote Confidence, Acceptance, Respect and Effort across all areas of school life and interactions.

At St. Joseph’s, we believe in the power of education to shape lives and we aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning in every child who walks through our doors.
